About Me
Hey Ya'll! My name is Joe and I am freshly on the road after having been in the SF Bay Area for 16 years. Quit my corporate job to focus on travel, meeting new people, and spending time in the great outdoors. I like hiking, taking pictures, meeting new friends, a good dive bar, thrift shopping, cooking and hot springs. Not a thrill seeker, but can usually be talked into trying anything once. I love sharing a meal or a bottle of wine with new friends! Say hey
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During the warmer months I live on my property in Grass Valley California. However, during the winter I'll be on the road seeing more of the American Southwest (a part of the country I've always wanted to see). I hope to see many of the national parks and monuments and welcome any and all advice. I'm on couch surfing vs any other platform because I hope to meet new friends and get some insider tips on local attractions as well as share my story / experiences with others.

Built a little patio / outdoor shower on my property in Grass Valley to host weary travelers. Planning on launching it this summer 2023.

I'm a trained photographer, aspiring carpenter, grower of food, and I make an excellent grilled cheese.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a fantastic cook, with plenty of stories to share over breakfast or dinner. I'd love to share outdoor experiences -- hikes, day trips, or other activities. I'm also extremely tidy and promise to leave your space cleaner than when I arrived.
