Overview
About Me
My name is Josh but I go by ‘Stone’. I am a student at Wofford College in Spartanburg SC. I have spent my whole life in Atlanta, working as a caddie at a few different golf courses in the Atlanta area. I study Religion at school and I am currently studying in Rome. I have spent most my adolescent years playing golf and preparing to play college golf. When that fell through, I decided to focus on my Religion studies and travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I want to do things that no one else has done. I am tired of going to the same hotel as everyone, getting the same tour, experiencing the same restaurants, and taking the same transportation. In my travels, I have found that the most fun I have is around the people I spontaneously meet. The most heart-warming, adventurous, and selfless people I have ever met are the ones I have met traveling. I want to put myself around those people and, when I am in Atlanta, I want to surround myself with those people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am fascinated by Wingsuit BASE. It is my dream and the only thing in my way is parental guidance, and $. In efforts to soak up wisdom from the professionals, I decided to make the journey to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, the Mecca of BASE and Wingsuit BASE. I spent a week learning from the professionals, hiking to exit points, and taking notes on their parachute-packing techniques. Being just feet away from a 500m drop, with nothing in my way, kindled this passion all the more.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a Religion major, I love talking about belief. I want to hear about your life, what you believe, and why. I am not here to debate, I am here--in humility--seeking conversation. I love hearing about people's methodology for living and encouraging people to pursue 'more' in life. I do not have all the answers but I love asking people about theirs. I am also pretty knowledgable in a few areas.
I love music. Not only do I love listening but I am an avid performer as well. I am not afraid of busking, teaching (piano or guitar), and I certainly am not afraid to hear yours.
If you want to know anything about golf, I gotchu there too. I have clocked in over 20,000 hours playing and practicing and I am a +1 handicap.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my music, my beliefs, my talkative personality, and my food (most difficult).
