Overview
About Me
I'm a pretty easy going person who is really eager to see as much of the world as possible and make genuine connections with people along the way! I am currently a college student studying History & Inclusive Adolescent Education. I absolutely love learning about different cultures and meeting new people. I will be traveling all of this summer and am very excited to see new places (especially those that are historical and have beautiful landscapes). I have recently started to pick up photography as a new hobby and am excited to continue to expand my skills throughout the summer. I love being outdoors! Hiking, biking, and kayaking are some of my favorite activities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people who are locals in the places that I travel to and to avoid touristy hotels, etc to get a more real and down-to-earth experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorites bands are Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, U2, John Mayer, and many other similar artists. I usually prefer calm and relaxing music that I can personally relate to.
I am a big fan of historical movies, mainly Saving Private Ryan, Glory, Hacksaw Ridge, Dunkirk, Cold Mountain and the miniseries Band of Brothers. I am also a huge fan of all Marvel movies (the Avengers & Guardians of the Galaxy movies are my favorites). I also love The Office (US) and Parks & Recreation - I've watched both series many times!
For books, I read a lot of historical books on both the American Civil War and World War II (these are my two areas of expertise).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have hiked to an active volcano in Nicaragua where the Mayans used to sacrifice people to their gods!
