About Me

I'm currently spending my school break exploring around New Zealand, a place that I have dreamed of visiting since I was in elementary school.
These past few years I have been fortunate enough to work at the United Nations, the Canadian Parliament, and live with a number of wonderful families in China.
I'm passionate about food and am trying to learn more about culture through cuisine as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to meet some of the wonderfully kind and friendly people around the country.
I would love to swap stories with you and practice my fledgling cooking skills.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been really enjoying classic rock recently.

Film has been a lifelong passion with some recent favorites being Bladerunner: 2049 and Isle of Dogs but my longstanding staples will always be Star Wars and Airplane.

I've been burning through books in recent years and have been blown away by how good the Kingkiller Chronicles are. Harry Potter will always hold a special place in my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at the United Nations this past Summer helping with the Global Compact for Migration, the first legislation of its kind for migration policy on a global scale.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love food and have been working to trade recipes and food around the world in recent years. I learned how to make crepes from an Armenian friend, Ful from a South Sudanese friend, and hopefully more to come.

I personally am well known for my tomato soup recipe and can make a pretty good pasta aglio e olio.

I'm also trying to learn how to be a better story teller and have found that practice is the best method.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a hard worker and happy to help with any tasks around the house or errands that can repay your hospitality.
