About Me
Sooooo my names Josh, Hey!!!
The last few months have been a real eye opener to me. For the past 5 years since finishing high school I had found myself conforming to the current societal expectations - Go to uni, get a profession, work your arse off, buy a house and have a family. I had only noticed 5 months ago that this was not what I wanted, however I realised that life was spiralling down whilst this black and white daily routine was in continuation.
Yes, I worked my arse off and had achieved it all (accept for the family part :p) however had realised that life isn't worth living unless you are happy, enjoying what you are doing and are experiencing what there is to offer.
So, here I am in Japan, after giving up my profession, now in the process of learning their language, working at a ski resort, enjoying the dormitory life, frequenting holy sites and experiencing traditional Japanese cultural activities and foods. Now, i'm living life and loving every moment of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because my life was so straight, narrow and extremely focused I have realised that I have missed out on many of the things that others my age have experienced, like make friends with strangers, club in the city, have time to myself to find out who I really am as a person and truely experience everything that life has to offer. So thats why I have signed up to Couchsurfing. I would love to make some friends (life long lasting), educate myself with other languages and take recipes from other cultures and attempt to make them myself (p.s. I am a terrible cook, but I try).
I can come across as a shy person but I love to listen to peoples stories, history and indulge in the things that they have to offer.
