About Me

Looking to explore the world and meet new people along the way. New cultures and environments have always been fascinating to me ever since my first trip out of the United States when I was 14.

My favorite things include mountain biking, camping, hiking (anything in the mountains really). Writing and reading are two things I love to do and wish I had more time to do it. "You get what anybody gets - you get a lifetime."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done couchserfing before when I was traveling in the States and Canada years ago, It's something I always loved because of the people you meet, the different stories you hear, the experiences are far better than staying in any hotel. It's it own community that brings people together and who watch out for each other. A community that cares for the new experiences and stories it will bring.

Music, Movies, and Books

So instead of giving favorite books I'll give my favorite authors: Neil Gaiman (who I quoted in the about me section) , Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R Tolkien, Robert Frost, and many man more. It's unfair to ask what your favorite book or author is, almost like asking who your favorite child is (not really but you get what I'm saying).

When it comes to music I have several genres I prefer. I mostly enjoy Indie Rock (very broad I know), old hip hop, jazz (when reading), and folk music. A few of my favorite bands would be the National, The Antlers, Radiohead, Iron & Wine, Tame Impala, and Tallest Man on Earth.

For movies I'll list a few of my favorite directors: Wes Anderson, Cohen Brothers, Kubrick, and Edgar Wright. There are a few more I can't think of at the moment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can mainly share stories. There is always a great joy that comes with good stories, you can learn a great deal about people with how they tell stories and what they focus on the most when they talk. I can also share a few bad jokes that I personally love.
