Hellooo, I'm Josiah!! I'm 20 years old and I've been travelling full time since May 2022! I'm originally from New Zealand, but I grew up in China, and was living in Thailand recently.

I'm very chill and flexible, I enjoy going out and doing stuff, but I also love just hanging out and chatting over a beer :) Meeting and making friends with locals is one of the most rewarding experiences, and truly one of the best parts of travelling.

I'm just starting an eastern europe hitchhiking journey!! Over the next 5 weeks I'll be hitchhiking from Tallinn Estonia, to Tirana Albania! I'm super excited for this trip and everyone I'm going to be meeting along the way :)

I'm also a full time photographer/artist! I sell fine art photos and that's what keeps me alive :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe couchsurfing is absolutely the best way of travelling. Why would I want to stay in a hotel by myself, or a hostel full of tourists all doing the same things, when I could meet, stay with, and become friends with locals. Hearing stories from their lives, their travels, their experiences. I love it.
Meeting people and getting the local experience is always my goal with travelling, and I have made so many amazing connections through couchsurfing! Whenever I have a space available I'll always open my place to host other travellers. We're all just doing our best to survive on this planet, so let's work together and help each other🫶

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Estonia🇪🇪 to Albania 🇦🇱 !

Camping in a cave up a mountain in the far north of Canada! We had no sleeping bags or blankets and it was freezing cold😭

One time in Thailand, I jumped off a crowded moving boat into the ocean in the middle of the night, because I had to pee so badly and there was no other option💀
