My attention span is way too short for movies but my favourite TV shows are Archer, Mad Men, BoJack Horseman, Friends and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Favourite books include Harry Potter (always), 1984, Eragon, Shantaram and Lolita.

The last 12 months have been the craziest of my life. I swam with pink dolphins in the Amazon river, caught (and ate) piranhas, trekked into and out of the world's third deepest canyon, learned to surf in Bali, paddle-boarded around the Burj Al Arab, biked down Death Road in Bolivia, climbed Machu Picchu, went sand-boarding in a desert oasis, learned to be a foreign correspondent in India and whitewater rafted down Peruvian river rapids. It's been a great year.
