About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Expanding horizons

ABOUT ME

A regional specialty of the American Northeast: a conflicted dialectic of German Idealism and American Consumerism. I try to defy my stereotype, but it's so warm and fuzzy that I just can't help surrendering every now and then.

I listen - well; I speak - moderately well. Life is arbitrarily interesting, and I enjoy it for that reason.

Really though, I'm just looking to understand the world, its people, and myself better.

PHILOSOPHY

The individual aesthetic is bound inextricably with the social whole.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't yet, but I would like to...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, unfortunately. I hope to change that in the near future.

Interests

I haven't found an activity that isn't interesting in some way, shape, or form yet. Getting to know someone to the core of their being, now that's the peak. More mundane enjoyments include: politics, history, philosophy, literature, art, music....

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes, these are good things. The best of them include: films by Bergman/Tarkovsky/Herzog, books by Marquez/Joyce/Nabokov, and Rachmaninoff. I have great love for many others as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have never done/seen anything amazing. I hope to correct that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know nothing of worth. I suppose if you want to learn how to program (you should avoid this career if at all possible as it is soul draining) then I would be happy to instruct. Otherwise, let's just share our lives, our interests, and I'm sure what is created is far greater than what could be didactically 'taught'.
