Overview
About Me
Hi! :)
I'm a 20 year old Colombian student currently living in Paris in order to do a "Master 1" in the Panthéon Sorbonne University.
About me: I'm a law student, I love to meet people from different cultures so I'm really open to any differences, I embrace them in fact. I speak Spanish, French, Italian and English and any chance to practice those languages would be pretty much appreciated. I love music (who doesn't), films and literature.
You can count on me for a walk, for a beer or for a snack anytime of the day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
¡Other people!
I believe that's what living is about and the few days that I've lived alone have make me realize this. Sure, a little bit of time to yourself is always great, but in order to understand yourself you have to understand others.
I love travelling and the idea of people who love their own countries, that are proud of their cities, showing them to others, seems fascinating to me.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Mainly rock, particularly indie rock, prog rock and classic rock.
Some groups I like (this list changes every now and then, of course):
Smiths, Joy Division, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Shins, Wilco, Animal Collective, Radiohead, Jethro Tull, Tame Impala, Stone Roses, REM, Soda Stereo, Genesis...
Movies by Kubrick, Wes Anderson and David Fincher. I have a soft spot for romantic comedies.
Some films I loved from 2016: Captain Fantastic, Sing Street, La La Land.
Books
I've always loved Russian literature, also Kafka, Borges, Camus or Hemingway. I'm currently trying to get deeper into french literature: Victor Hugo, de Maupassant, Balzac.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Frankly, another reason for joining Couchsurfing was that I want to be able to choose from a immense list of amazing things I've done.
I want to have incredible experiences this semester.
Most of the traveling I've done has been with my parents, and I hadn't realized what a wonderful thing that is until now that I've started to do it alone.
Nonetheless, travelling with my schoolmates to another country for a month will be always one of the great memories of my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I speak four languages, and I believe I speak them very well. We can talk in one of these if you're learning!
I think that from me you can learn what an open-minded twenty year old world citizen is.
