Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was recommended Couchsurfing by my best friend. I heard various tales of traveling with a new perspective, knowing locals, their habits and culture, sharing tales and life experiences, and allow one self to be surprised by the awesomeness of this world and its inhabitants... How can anyone not be drawn to something like that? However this new way of traveling isn't only about what you can receive from others, but also about what you can share of yourself, your country and culture, your profession and hobbies with others.
Summing everything up, my best friend taught me that Couchsurfing was an amazing way to connect the world, and help making it a better, respectful, tolerant, diverse, and fun place!
I was compelled by that idea, so here I am

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Rock (and most of its infinite varieties) is my all time favorite music genre. Nonetheless, I enjoy metal, classic, opera, jazz, blues, reggae, salsa and some other tropical genres, electronic, house, flamenco, boleros, colombian traditional music (I highly recommend bambucos and joropos), mexican rancheras, pop, ballads,...
I love getting to know new music genres and/or artists, especially if they're traditional music of the places I visit, and even more so if the experience is accompanied by some history and lore.
Movies:
I love watching documentaries and films about history, like Alexander, The Last Samurai, Stalingrad, Letters From Iwo Jima, City of Life And Death, The Revenant...
But I too enjoy watching more popular films like the MCU, Nolan's Batman trilogy, Inception,...
I love good horror films, as well as good comedy, dramas,...
I guess I can't say that I have a single favorite film genre, but there is a group of films that I never get tired of watching (The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, The Last Samurai, Inside Out, The Aviator, The Wolf of Wall Street, Rogue One, Letters From Iwo Jima and Tarzan (the animated version)
Regarding TV shows, Game of Thrones, Vikings, Rick and Morty, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, The Heist, and The Walking Dead make my top 7
Books:
I love Jose Saramago, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jules Verne, George R. R. Martin, Tolkien, Milan Kundera, Albert Camus, Mijail Bulgakov
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have hiked/climbed the "Pan de Azucar" peak at the Cocuy Range up to 5100 M.A.M.S.L and watched with awe the dawn and the entire colombian Andes.
A friend and me got lost for an entire day in the chinese city of Xian. Neither of us new a word of chinese but improvising we got to know and awesome modern museum, its gardens, and our way back to the hotel.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about geology, some of other sciences, spanish, some english, a little french, outdoors and camping, food (i don't know many recipes but those I do know are awesome)
I'd like to learn many languages, photography, stories, tales and folklore from different regions and cultures, the history of every place I visit, the music and dances from every place I visit
I'd love to share dinners with awesome conversations, small trips and beautiful hikes, exercise sessions of any kind (I love doing sports), and maybe even some party! If you're a musician or keen to music I'd absolutely adore to sing/play along with you!
