About Me

From Maryland+Pennsylvania USA. Currently on a kind of mental-health sabbatical between jobs.
I love traveling--usually I most enjoy the food or hiking or climbing, not as much the museums and architecture unless I have a guide that can help me out!
I'm also very interested in volunteering so if I'm in town a couple days I'd love to volunteer for a local nonprofit!
I get excited about food, rock climbing, craft beer, and coffee. Not necessarily in that order!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Originally was just trying to save money on road trips but through using it I've found a community of kind and generous people that without couch surfing I probably would have never met and am happy to have made some new friends along the way. I'm happy if I can do the same for others and to continue exposing my brain to new people and backgrounds and cultures!

Interests

I love running, music, movies and tv shows, trying new foods/drinks, walking through parks and forests, biking, rock climbing, good craft beers, scotch neat, and Oxford commas.

I also really love learning bits and pieces of different languages/dialects. I'm fascinated by how culture and language shape and reflect each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once had a drunken impromptu rap battle with a Chinese guy I met in Italy. I don't remember much other than lots and lots of laughing and probably a shot of grappa to finish the night. I also don't rap or speak Chinese haha

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak some spanish, though not often.
I can do integral and differential calculus, but don't often.
I can teach you about the physics of refrigeration and air conditioning if you want...
