About Me

Hey :)
I'm Judith, a warm-hearted and open-minded 25-year old student from Germany.
Right now, I am not so much into traveling anymore but mostly explore the hiking trails of Germany or visit European cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went on a road trip in Turkey in 2019 which was so far the best adventure I've ever experienced. And a big reason for that was the inspiring Couchsurfing people who hosted me. I got to spend a day with an off-grid homesteader and join him fishing our dinner, I learned backgammon (and how to play it as a drinking/quest game, which was a lot of fun), I sat around a campfire with a bunch of guys who left the city to live a laid-back life on the beach following their passion, and so much more.

Interests

I'm interested in all kind of dances. Usually I do Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Showdance but I also like Rock'n'Roll, Ballroom Dance, Salsa.. I'm also curious about folk dances and local music cause they express a lot about the lifestyle of the people.
Secondly, I love to try new recipes for cooking. I have to admit I'm not the best cooker but preparing nice and healthy food will always cheer me up.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
* The Name of the Wind (why isn't there a follow-up book...),
* The Chemistry of Death ( I like the first chapter about which insects appear after which episodes after dying^^ never thought it could be so interesting),
* Momo (it's such a evergreen book - love it) ,
* The seven sisters (best novel series),
* most books of Ken Follett and Dan Brown (super exciting plots)...

Films:
Currently:
* Glow up (so fascinating what people can do with a face as a canvas!)
All time favorites:
* Mamma Mia (just the best feel good film - and I love musical films),
* Inception (dreams can indeed be crazy),
* German comedy films like "Der Schuh des Manitu"

Music:
* Musical Songs in general :D
* A cappella
* Charts, happy music playlists on spotify
* Music that makes you want to dance right away
* Soul, African Beats

Teach, Learn, Share

I could at least teach the basic steps of some of the ballroom dances, or be ready to go to a salsa dance party.
Same goes for Acroyoga - I am always up for an Acroyoga session and could also teach some basic elements.
