Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Julia, and I am lively minded, physically active , interested in fine arts, poetry and fiction writing. I have been an exhibiting artist in the past, now turning my hand to writing, and am keen to visit galleries and theatres to view what is on offer in the contemporary art scene.
I live in the country town of Castlemaine in Central Victoria, renowned for its lively arts, where a festival is held every two years to showcase the arts both local and international. When travelling I like to soak myself in the local culture to recharge my creative 'batteries' and enjoy talking with like-minded people.
I also like the countryside and am a keen walker. I live on the edge of town and walk most days in the bush which is adjacent to my property. I am a keen gardener, growing my own vegetables, and keep hens. I believe in fresh food and beautiful cuisine, also good coffee. I love the bush and wildflowers and have been involved in landcare all my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have Recently walked eighty kilometres in beautiful Rainforest in the Green Mountains of Queensland. This was a silent meditation walk with others, where we explored our relationship to the natural world and our appreciation of it. I am planning to walk part of the Camino Pilgrim Way in France September 2017.
