My name is Julia and my boyfriends name is Jan. I‘m 21 years old, Jan is 28. We live in Wuppertal, the rainiest city of Germany with the overhead railway. I finished the vocational diploma in 2017 with the focus on social issues and healthcare. After that I made a federal volunter service in a child care for 8 months. My boyfriend and me walked `El Camino de Santiago` in 2018. It was interesting to meet people from all countries, ages and lifestyles. I got more mature and satisfied through this journey. I enjoyed the natur und silence at our hiking tour as well as meeting new people. We spent 9 weeks on the Camino. We stayed in Finisterra one week and then flew back to Germany. Since October 2018 I’ve been working in a Call-Center of a big telephone company, my boyfriend worked as a management assistant in real astate. Next year I’d like to start an education as a physiotherapist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are going to visit Poland, Lithuana, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Kazakhstan and the Mongolia in the next months with our van. The contact with natives would help us to deal with new situations and to get to know something about the country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like to remember the time in Finisterra. One morning I woke up and walked to the beach. It was 9 o'clock and the weather was fresh. I felt a moderate breeze and the sky was cloudy. I sat on a trunk or something like that and wrote a little love letter to the sea. I listened to the sound of the sea and enjoyed the silence of this place. I calmed down and felt satisfaction.
