About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet people from around the world and collaborate on art projects

ABOUT ME

I'm a visual artist and a community organizer. I'm finished my BFA of Fine Arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology at the moment. I was born in Israel, lived in St. Petersburg, Russia till I was 5, grew up in Austin, TX, and moved to NYC when I turned 18. I speak mediocre Russian and some very very vague French and Spanish -- there never seems to be enough time to learn!

I'm pretty social and love to go out to DJ shows, but during most of the year I am stuck indoors working on homework or planning art shows. I want to meet new people to collaborate with in the arts when I'm traveling, hopefully!

PHILOSOPHY

Stay positive, stay engaged.

Interests

I'm the co-lead organizer of a neighborhood-wide arts/open studios festival in Bushwick, North Brooklyn, NY! It's great fun and a huge headache. The main festival is every year in June. I've worked in a lot of galleries and assisted artists, and hope to someday get paid for doing something of the sort. I love electronic music and DJ regularly in NYC as half of nanohumans. I also love biking and my two cats, Lenin and Quark. They're pretty great.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love minimal tech house, such as Trentemoller and Nicholas Jaar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to pick out a few amazing things when I look back at life, but I guess I could settle on all and any of the times I've visited Barcelona, my first gallery show in Chelsea last year, and simply biking across the Williamsburg bridge in NY now and then. These memories always warm my heart.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom
