Music, Movies, and Books
Any movie I'd like to see more than one time. On the boat we were watching indian movies with indian crew, I really liked Three idiots and Rockstar ) Also I like many others - Big blue, Eternal sunshine of spotless mind, Elementary... French, Italian, German festival movies, ironic movies etc etc etc)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got to St. Helena. This is the island in the middle of nowhere (with no airport in 2014, it takes 10 days of sailing from the african coast, the regular RMC boat is coming once in 3 weeks). And yes, Napoleon was buried there))
Was tagging and measuring nesting turtles in aboriginal land of Quinsland, Australia. Working with aboriginals, sharing the danger of salt water crocodile's visit))
Almost lost my job because of scarlet-red ibises of Trinidad... Cause that birds have their own timetable, it is no other chance to see them except the time they return to their nests all together.
Participating in Maydan 2014 (contributing to the history of my country)
Did I mention Indian ocean crossing with no engine, in the team of two, on 9 m trimaran? Not to repeat, but for sure "a story to tell in the bar"
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to tie some basic seaman knots or wave palm leaves decorations (yes I've learned something in the Caribbean):)) And of course I can show you how to cook ukrainian VARENIKI from scratch)))
I can share thoughts, hopes and culture of my people.
I like to learn languages and local features. I like to see the world bright and different.
