About Me

I'm a 23 year old waitress about to move to LA from Raleigh, North Carolina. I've lived in NC for 12 years, before which I lived in Canada where I grew up. I graduated from university in 2016 and right now I'm in an explorative phase of my life trying to figure out what comes next.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I found couchsurfing while I was studying abroad in Paris 3 years ago, but I never got the opportunity to try it out. I'm about to do a trip out LA to look for an apartment before I move there and I'd love to find somewhere to stay on Couchsurfing to save some money and also get an introduction to the city through people my age who love being there!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a really wide range of music I like - I enjoy pretty much everything except for screamo or hard rock
One of my absolute favorite movies is Persuasion, based off the novel by Jane Austen
Haven't been able to do much reading for fun lately.....am open to good book recommendations!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An overnight trip staying in a Berber camp in the Sahara Desert of Morocco - the completely undiluted starry night sky is the most beautiful, magical thing I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I double majored in Global Studies focusing on politics in the Middle East and Peace, War & Defense focusing on national and international security. My French is alright and I have some beginner Arabic as well!

What I Can Share with Hosts

One thing that my friends say they like about me is that I have a very good judge of character and I don't apologize for being who I am. I'm an incredibly independent person and I try to see the world with as much of an open mind as possible. I enjoy learning from others and seeing different viewpoints. If that sounds like the kind of person you'd like to know, I'd be happy to meet you!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, France, United States
