About Me

Hey, I'm a pretty normal guy. I like learning about other people, their philosophy and what makes them tick.
I'm an engineer in renewable energy, which mostly means solar and wind.
I like having a go at creative ventures, art and music (which I more listen to than make) and am having a go at some poetry in my spare time.
Mostly though I'm just trying to understand what IT all is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm riding my motorbike to Turkey across Asia, so places to stay are great. Hostels are fun but locals are better. I try to find a nice balance, looking for new people and experiences and hoping to be involved more in the lives of local people wherever I find myself rather than the lives of other hostel goers.

Interests

Music, and other peoples' music, philosophy, reality, simulations, the diference between simulations and reality, other people, how other people interpret the world, how other people interpret ideas.
Big engineering projects and ideas, space and exploration, mathematics and the great beyond.

Music, Movies, and Books

Science fiction, Adventure, travel books, non fiction books about people and space. Many movies but generally not new releases, Hollywood is overrated.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have skydived 18 times! I almost got my license when I was 19 but ran out of time before I went to travel South America alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy learning languages, and I think the best way is to live in the language. That doesn't mean I'm good at it, just that I try.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm friendly and interested in what makes you like life. I love good conversations about big topics such as life, reality, politics, humanity...

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, Ecuador, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Viet Nam
