Hello, this is our first time using this platform, we are very excited and hopeful to find someone in Ireland who would be willing to host us for a few days.
We are Julie and Matthias, a German and Namibian/South-African couple planning to spend some time in August exploring into what we presume are the magnificent stretches of Irish countryside. Matthias is a recently qualified doctor with an enthusiasm for literature and unspoiled nature - I am a university student of german literature, philosophy and music, setting my sights on maybe becoming a high school teacher.
We have an overbearing fondness for food and can offer a large arsenal of cooking skills we have gathered over the years (African, Indian, Asian, Italian and German kitchen).
We are fairly frequent travelers, having been to India and my home country Namibia, Vietnam,
Cambodia, Iceland and many other countries. We would be very glad if someone would be interested in hosting us for a few days.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Regular accommodation is fiendishly expensive! We should much rather have a platform where we can meet genuine irish people and have a personal arrangement. We are very enthusiastic cooks and can offer recompensation in a lavish cooking display, or get creative in terms of other forms of compensation such as teaching stuff or pints.

I love nearly all kinds of music, however this doesnt mean I have no deep interest in it. Infact it is my greatest hobby and I am always up to talking about music, recommending artists and getting to know new music. Also making music myself!

Teach, Learn, Share

Im studying the german language so I should be able to teach that on whatever level you are on. Same with guitar and piano basics. Matthias speaks afrikaans and has tried to teach that to me in the past aswell!
