About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making art, surviving the metropolis.
Gaining the dubious title of 'Professional artist'.
Read one more book, watch one more movie, listen to one more album...
ABOUT ME
An alternatively quiet/frantic French-Canadian artist/filmmaker living in Montreal.
Art school graduate, now trying to make it in the art world.
PHILOSOPHY
To quote from Gummo:
"Life is great. Really, it is. Without it, you'd be dead".
I also read too much of Cioran/Schopenhauer for my own good, so there's that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music would be a lot of thing, from alt/post rock (Radiohead, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Mogwai, PJ Harvey) to Black Metal (Leviathan, Mayhem, Xasthur), electronic (Aphex Twin, Crystal Castles), industrial (Nine Inch Nails, Foetus, Throbbing Gristle). And some strange japanese band (Boris, Hataranash, Dir en Grey, Yura Yura Teikoku). And anything Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantomas).
An absolute, absolute favourite band would be The Fall
Movie would be a bit long but Werner Herzog, Harmony Korine, Pasolini, Bresson, John Huston, Rainer Fassbinder and Andrei Tarkovski are favorite.
In Litterature, some French/European classic (Balzac, Bataille, Camus, Zola, Dostoievski, Artaud, Cioran), but also Southern Gothic (Faulkner, O'Connor, McCullers), Osamu Dazai, François Augiéras, Anne Sexton, James Joyce...
H.P Lovecraft was my teenage year's idol.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Reading Finnegans Wake in its entirety. Almost lost my mind to it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know some really funny historical anecdotes.
For instance, here in Canada, for a long time it was thought that the rocky mountains had two peaks, based on the diary of the explorer who claimed to have climbed both of them. But nobody could find the secound peak. And that's when somebody remembered the explorer was actually blind as a bat and claimed to have climbed both peaks in one afternooon.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Quebec accent, joke, weird bad movies, music, unusual history trivia, Werner Herzog impersonation.
Also, some comfort cooking to fill empty stomachs.
