The quotation I live my life by is happiness only real when shared. These words made a mark on me from the first time I heard them. No matter what you may achieve in life, what beautiful things you may see, or do, it is worth nothing unless you have someone to share them with. Human beings are social creatures. Some are more social than others, but almost noone can be truly happy alone.

My personal philosophy? Optimism! I always look at the bright side of life and expect good things to happen. Optimism is the faith and leads to achievment - nothing can be done without hope! Moreover, we live longer once we realize that any time spent being unhappy is wasted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find it an interesting alternative for hostels. Interaction with locals is the part that no other accomodation will provide. :)

Couchsurfing is a kind of cultural exchange, thanks to which we can get something that we will not find in any hostel. One thing is that through a simple conversation with our host, or through spending time together exploring new areas, we learn a lot about a country we're staying in and it's culture.

Another aspect is that we get first-hand recommendations - where to go, what to see, and often we are also guided and we can visit places that can't be found in any guide.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to every kind of music, in (ok, almost) every I can find something inspiring. What I'm listening to depends on my mood, day, part of the year, current situation and dozens other things. I can however distinguish few of my favourite artists that appear on my playlists frequently: Shakira, Enya, Leo Rojas, Bon Jovi, AnnenMayKantereit, Within Temptation, Sabaton, Ludwig van Beethoven...

Books? Similar case, a bit of everything. I just love them all!
