About Me
Hi, my name is Jun Watanabe. I was born in Hong Kong and spent 7 years of my life in Hong Kong and 14 years in Japan. At the moment I am doing an bachelor exchange program at the University of Amsterdam.
(I'm sorry but I cannot host people because I'm leaving Amsterdam soon)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing simply because I think it is a great experience to get to know the locals. The main reason I love traveling is because it always gives me new experiences and insights which I could never acquire living in my own country. I believe that experiencing different values, culture, tradition will truly widening my horizons and enrich my life.
Yet often it can be quite difficult to experience local daily life and immense yourself in the culture of a country where you've never been to. In this sense, Couch Surfing is a great platform to make the most of my journey!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To be honest, I don't think I've actually done something that would amaze people so far in my life. But I do have a goal that I want to accomplish in my life; eradicate poverty. To reach this goal, I am now spending my time on studying and travelling.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to achieve a better cultural understanding through couch surfing. I always think that meeting foreign people and reconsidering our own culture from the outside is important to deepen our cultural understanding.
