ABOUT ME

Namaste travellers salaam!🙏
Am a happy, open-minded, spiritual, independent woman who loves to travel around the world. I love life and feel blessed to be here. I respect the Universe and the mysteries of it. Am a dreamer (yes Pisces!) and have a laid back lifestyle, live without agenda and don't plan my life far ahead. I like the experience of mixing and meeting new people/cultures and exploring new things in life. I am an introvert, reliable and easy-going person. Love to spent time with open-minded people like artists, nomads, hippies, guitarmen and free spirits. Don´t feel to judge anyone since we are all unique and have our own path to walk in life. I have shared interesting times with people from various horizons; from millionaires with private helicopters to jungle drugsdealers, from amazing musicians to fancy lawyers and from criminals to homeless holy sadhus. I feel grateful to be surrounded by a group of caring friends in different countries. Sometimes wish i can be a backpacker for the rest of my life...and maybe i will! I believe in Karma; what goes around comes around! Love to make jewelry, dreamcatchers, read, write, meditate and hang around in ashrams, temples, monasteries and the nature.💚

🟪 In 2008 i found the courage to follow my heart and intuition and left (after 14 years!) my busy job as a manager at a digital printing company because i wanted to travel, explore, learn and grow! Life's too short to be only busy with a career. So from then on i travel a lot and when i am at home in Amsterdam, i look for temporary jobs through a job agency.😊

🟪 In 2011 i learned the secrets of Macramé in the Himalaya's in India. Boom Bholenath! From that moment on i create beautiful handmade jewelry with crystals and sell them on markets and festivals in my hometown Amsterdam and every country i travel. 🟪 In 2017 i made my 10th long journey through India and realized i have seen more from this colourful, spiritual country than most of my local Indian friends, and still i don´t know much about this interesting, diverse and astonishing place. I am very grateful for the amazing life-changing experiences this country gave to me. Mama India is my second home. And of course i will return again!🙋‍♀️

🟪 In March 2020 i returned from another long journey through India and arrived back home in Amsterdam in the middle of the Covid19 drama, just before the whole world went into Lock Down. In The Netherlands we had 3 Lockdowns, a lot of restrictions, evening curfew and we were suggested to stay inside home for almost 2 years. In September 2020 our minister of Justice and Security, Ferdinand Grapperhaus was getting married with a big wedding-party and in October 2020 our king Willem Alexander flew with his family to Greece for a holiday. The leaders of our country just had fun, while we were all in Lock Down and obligated to stay at home!! Due to this, the Covid-propaganda on the mainstream media and my own personal research, (inside hospitals, pharmacovigilance centers, data banks etc) i decided to stay unvaccinated.😊

🟪 In October 2021 me and my partner bought a beautiful old wooden Tiny House, in a Nature Park in Amsterdam. This is Off Grid and from Fridays till Sundays we are mostly working/staying there. This is also the reason that i can not host in weekends. There is lots of work to do in the Tiny House, it needs complete renovation. The garden is a jungle and more than 250 m2 so in case you wanna help us out there, you get priority in hosting. Lately i developed more love and interest for the nature and for the last year i attended weekly workshops to learn about edibles in the nature, and how to make your own natural washing powder, syrup, soap, ointment, tincture, roomspray, deodorant, grow mushrooms and much more. Would love to share my knowledge and recipes with you.💚

Hosting and surfing. Also i regularly organise CS events at my home or on different locations. Going to the weekly CS meetings in town. Showing people around in Amsterdam and giving online advice. The more i travel and the older i grow, the more i love my little Amsterdam with it´s cultural breeding places, openness, diversity and tolerance for differences. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many things amazing in my life, here a few happy memories:
- *Dancing for many hours at illegal house parties in abandoned places in Amsterdam, such as boats, tunnels, warehouses and grain silo's. One party night there wasn't enough oxygen inside the tunnel and we quickly had to leave the place. This was all in the early 90's.
- *Visiting a crazy Wasteland party in a warehouse in Amsterdam in 2003 and when the doorbitch didn't approved my top i took it off, hid it inside my leather boots, went into the party topless and then put my top back on again!
- *Snorkeling in an underground Cenote tunnelsystem with stalagmites and stalagtites and visiting Chichen Itza in Yucatan, Mexico.
- *Walking the Great Wall in Beijng, China.
- *Rafting on a icy cold Himalayan river in Nepal and dancing with a Tharu tribe in their famous stick dance.
- *Driving a snowmobile up to over 100 kilometres an hour…crossing frozen rivers in the very isolated north of Finland with a temperature of minus 30 degrees to visit a Sami tribe.
- *Riding a sledge with 6 Husky-dogs in that same cold, snowy country Finland, staying in a tipi and watching Aurora Borealis.
- *Walking through the hot and isolated amazingly beautiful Sahara desert in Tunisia and visiting the movie-set of Star Wars and drinking tea with tribal Berber people.
- *Wandering around in the overwhelming Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA and visiting a Navajo Reservation.
- *Hiking the mysterious active volcano Etna on the island Sicily.
- *Floating in a rubber boat down the waterfall rivers of the biggest waterfalls in the world, Foz de Iquazu in Brasil.
- *Visiting Navaratri festival in the holy city of Varanasi in India together with over a million pilgrims!
- *Climbing the rocks of pink city Petra in Jordan and visit a Bedouin family in a cave home.
- *Going to a trance-party in the jungle of the state Goa in India and driving to the party on a bike without light and speedmeter on bad roads without streetlights and after the party driving back home.~Halelujah!
- *Visiting the mysterious piramids of Gizeh in Egypt.
- *Smoking chillum around the duni with babaji friends in an ancient Shiva Temple in the Himalaya's in India.
- *Wandering around the wonderful jungle temples of Angkor Wat and visiting the amazing watervillage Khlong Phluk in Cambodia.
- *Staying in tents for a few nights with local Bedouin men in Wadi Rum desert in Jordan.
- *Visited several Satsangs with Mooji in the mountaincity of Rishikesh in India.
- *Living with the monks in a monastery in Thailand to learn about Buddhism and meditation. Once while doing walking meditation i reached a very peaceful silent kind of unconscious state which i still can't describe in words.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you really can't find anything, you can always rent the private, cozy wooden cabin in my garden. It has a peaceful wooden interior and 2 people can sleep inside. One on the sofa and 1 on a nice futon on the floor. The cabin has no heating but it has insulation so it's not very cold, although for winter season (October till March) i would not recommend it due to the Dutch Cold Climate. It is a silent cabin so (speaker/phone) music not aloud. You use the bathroom/kitchen inside the house. The price is 25 euro per person per night, including wifi, tea/coffee, drinking tabwater and you can borrow an old bicycle from me. Maximum stay is 4 nights.

If you are totally out of money, you can always sleep under the starry sky on the big wooden benches at Mr. Visserplein. If you don't wanna eat alone and looking for a cheap 3-Course Vegan Dinner go to the Volkseten Vegazulu nights, every monday and thursday in the East part of Amsterdam. It's a squad house with a cozy little terrace and the atmosphere is like a livingroom. The price is only 4 euro per person. Starts at 19.00. Check the website https://joesgarage.nl/ before going because if they don't have a volunteer cook, the place is closed.
