About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To keep my mind traveling while I'm staying still.
ABOUT ME
I am very much a people person, one who enjoys interacting with new and exciting people for the sole purpose of opening new doors. I have a great sense of adventure and am a pretty knowledgeable guy, usually has a plan but never am stuck to it. I am lighthearted and always down to have a good time, not always looking for the party of the year, but more so the type that likes to kick back with a brew and get to know people.
PHILOSOPHY
This is in no way MY personal philosophy, but its a quotation that has really kept me going and think its important to share with all those couch surfers out there who have been away from home for a while.
"Even in the most anguished moment, when you wonder why you bothered to leave home at all, something emerges from the travel experience that you couldn't discover in any other way but by letting go and exposing yourself to the unknown." (Green Dreams)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to the official couchsurfing, so I would like to participate in anyway possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed on many couches and know many surfers, but have yet to use the official couchsurfing website to surf. When I had my own place my couch was always a revolving door to friends, friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends. I am sincere when I say anyone is welcome, and I hope those who host me feel the same.
Interests
Studying Environmental Science and Spanish in college, I have unknowingly opened doors to unexpected opportunities. The past year I worked with an organization in which we combined environmental work with social justice. Long story short, I worked with low-income communities in Flagstaff, Arizona to help them receive money to weatherize their homes and supply the local community center with solar panels, all from money they didn't know existed for them. Since then, I've spent seven weeks in the rainforest and 4 months studying in Costa Rica, trying to globalize my outlook on what I am interested in.
*Please, if you have any interest or connection in this line of work, let me know. I am always looking for something new to learn from and get involved with.
This said, back in Flag I spend many a nights camping around Northern Arizona and shooting the shit with my friends and family.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Game of Thrones series both the books and the show. I just finished reading The Kindness of Strangers which is a great book for people who are reading this, and those who are not.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 7 weeks working in the rainforest of Costa Rica at a Biological Reserve, spending my days working on ongoing research and nights and weekends with some of the best people I've ever met. Hands down, my time spent there was the most life-changing time of my life, making clear how important it is to me to see other parts of the world. My friends in Tirimbina showed me how wonderful life can be when lived simply, surrounded by people that genuinely care about you. I never would have thought I would have a family away from home in Costa Rica, and hope I can make relationships similar to those in other countries too.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really enjoy making my own beer with friends, but am still in the amateur stages. I enjoy playing disc golf, camping, and hiking. I also would like to continue practicing my Spanish.
