About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore, Enjoy, and Engage Europe!
ABOUT ME
I am honest, funny, caring, humble, and outgoing. Most importantly, they would say I am the nicest person you have ever met and will do anything for anybody. I am a high school social studies teacher and am passionate about making the world a better place and making a difference in the lives of others!
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in turning every negative experience in life into something positive and using it to help others. I have a goal of positively impacting as many people as possible in life and try to live each day thinking about ways to help others. It is the biggest reason I became an educator.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is my first time participating in CouchSurfing, as I am traveling to Europe for my first time ever. I am more than willing to host as well when people come to the States. I live 15 minutes outside of Boston, Massachusetts and within 3.5 hours of NYC; Portland, ME; Burlington, VT and within five hours of Quebec City; Montreal; and Philadelphia, PA.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only heard from people who have done it and they have had awesome experiences.
Interests
I LOVE to run, especially on trails. I run marathons as a hobby and love using them as an excuse to see new places. I also love to explore and see new cities and spots outdoors. I love learning about other cultures, meeting new people, and learning history. I am also a huge sports fan and enjoy going to live sporting events, as well as concerts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
First off, qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon in 2011. It was an amazing experience, especially when four of my students came down from Maine and surprised me at the finish line!
Second, backpacking the Na Pali Coast in Hawaii with one of my best college buddies.
Third, seeing Pearl Harbor and having the opportunity to pay my respects to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives that day.
