American English Teacher living in Korea for 4 years. SCUBA fanatic and traveler. My travels have been kind to me so I hope that Couch Surfing will provide me an opportunity to give back in a way.

I love where I live and would enjoy helping others to experience Korea and Pohang.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I have a spare bedroom in my apartment available. I am also happy to meet with travelers for coffee or dinner and give some advice on the area. Pohang has a vibrant foreigner community which hosts many events that couch surfers can take advantage of at opportune times.

I have lived in Pohang for four years and I am happy share info about Gyeongsangbuk-do or Korea in general.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots of experience traveling and crashing on the couches of friends and strangers a like, but little experience with this website.

To me this website represents the kind of world that I would like to live in.

I am new to couch surfing but after seeing my coworkers successes with the site and meeting the people they has hosted, I am excited to give it a try.

I can give rudimentary lessons on Korean and Japanese.

Intermediate lessons in Spanish

In the near future I will be a dive instructor and be able to certify people for their open water or Advanced Open Water courses.

I can arrange guitar lessons, or point to towards an open mic venue here in town.

Mostly I am one of many individuals that organize dinners, sporting events, trips to festivals for foreign residents and Korean locals alike. Message me to see what is in the works at the time.
