ABOUT ME

Calm on the outside, endlessly curious on the inside, happiest somewhere between a mountain trail and a good book. I'm the kind of person who gets genuinely excited about a new hiking route, a stray dog, or an unexpectedly good cup of tea.

I'm a curious person who feels most at home on a mountain trail, in a cosy corner with a book, or crouched over a pottery wheel covered in clay. Travelling has shaped the way I see the world - and slowly made me more open to the people in it.
I love nature deeply: wild landscapes, animals, the kind of silence you can only find far from cities. Rock climbing is my latest obsession (still very much a beginner, but that's half the fun). And did I mention I make excellent coffee? ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I try to stay genuinely curious - about people, places, ideas, following a Chinese motto 活到老學到老， which can be translated as: "As long as you live, never stop exploring". Living in China taught me that most assumptions are wrong, and that's actually a good thing. I'd rather be surprised than be right.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing in high school. Secretly, because my parents weren't quite ready for that conversation. Best decision I ever made behind their backs though!
My first experience hooked me completely, I found out that there's no better way to discover a culture of a foreign country than by doing it from the inside - and after living in a Chinese family in Chengdu, China, for almost 2 years, trust me, I know what I'm saying :D
Couchsurfing gave me some of the most genuine, unexpected, memorable moments of my life. That's exactly what I keep coming back for.

Interests

Photography, rock climbing (newly converted - send help), ceramics, hiking, cooking, vegan food exploration, and an unhealthy obsession with Asian cultures. I also have a running list of movies I'll probably never finish watching and recipes I definitely will try.
Animals are my weakness. If you have a pet, I'll be their best friend immediately.

When it comes to books, definitely fantasy and sci-fi. Love the way they help me escape everyday sttruggles and just sink in to another worlds <3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experiencing a Brocken spectre in Tatra mountains; spending New Year's Eve in a monastery in Emei Shan (one of the Buddhist sacred mountain in Southern China); helicopter flight over 12 Apostles Cliffs in Australia; first surfing attempts in Hainan, China and... some more to come I hope!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a person of broad interests, always willing and ready to learn new things - especially from passionate people. As Confucius once said: 三人行， 必有我师 (Where there are three men walking together, one of them is bound to be able to teach me something).
I'm grateful for all the chances to try new things that I've already got but I know that there are new adventures waiting for me even there where I don't expect to find them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great coffee or Chinese tea (always in my bag), home-cooked food, and genuine conversation. I can teach you Polish tongue twisters, talk about China for way too long, or just go for a walk and enjoy the silence together. I'm also happy to just curl up with a book and not be in anyone's way - low-maintenance guest, I promise!
