About Me

Hi! I just moved from Seattle, WA to Brownsville, TX. I have a big house with no furniture and would love to host you (and hopefully get some furniture before you arrive). I work... a lot... so I'm not really free any day, but happy to provide a roof and a room.

I'm from Chicago 🇺🇲 and both of my parents were born in Poland 🇵🇱. I just graduated from a small engineering school in the Midwest and I like playing sports ⚽ and board games.

If we meet, I'd love to have a conversation about technology, history and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to discover the world from other people's perspectives - especially when you are on a path that is different than mine. I spent the summer after my college graduation backpacking around Europe and I met some of the most amazing, inspiring people through Couchsurf. I want you to share what you think are the most important problems humanity needs to solve.

Interests

In highschool I wrestled 🤼, played volleyball 🏐 and built robots 🤖 in the FIRST robotics competition. Then I spent a year working on a network of antennas that are all around the world as a mechanical engineer. Now I work at the Starfactory building rockets that are gonna go to Mars. I love to read books about biology, the history of computing, and biographies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all types of music and I love to dance to it. I also listen to lots of audiobook biographies (by Walter Isaacson), histories (The Innovators), and fiction (Rosie Project) . My favorite movie is Don't Mess with the Zohan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built and test-fired a liquid propellant rocket engine as part of my undergrad. 🚀

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really interested in the history of technology as well as climate change. I want to learn about how you use technology and what problems and challenges matter to you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to help you around the house with cleaning or maintenance. Or just have some great conversations about education, environment or engineering.
