Hi everyone! My name is Kaan Önem. 34 years old, from İstanbul, Turkey.

I am working at the university as a lecturer. Also, I study at Ph.D. My department is the same for both: Politics and International Relations. Except for my profession, I am a solo traveler, backpacker, and blogger. I've traveled over 22 countries and 70 cities so far. (2019 May)

My friends describe me literally "bibliophile" :) I speak English fluently. Besides, I have been learning the Italian language for over two years.

I like traveling very much. And because I often travel, I sometimes need a free place to stay. In this way, I put some money on the side. On the other hand, staying near a local is a really good way to know a culture! This is indeed an incredible experience in life.
