About Me

I am an AmeriCorps VISTA working for Grand County (Moab) on affordable housing and economic development stuff. I just moved here in August from Tampa, FL after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in architecture and sustainability in the built environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I totally understand the struggles of wanting to do all of the things while balling on a budget and hope to reciprocate some of the generosity that has been extended to me during my travels

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical tastes are pretty widespread, but most often I'm listening to a mix of oldies, throwbacks, r&b, hip hop, and a bit of pop, althernative, and bluegrass. Some of my favorite men of music are Billy, Elton, Phil, Paul, and Prince.

I have a bad habit of falling asleep in movies but love them anyway. I don't do scary movies but will watch most others. I also feel like I have not seen a lot of movies or TV shows that I should have... I've been working on catching up

I wish I had more time to read than I do. I've recently gotten into the bad habit of starting a book and not finishing it, but I'm planning on working on that this year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One spring break, my best friend and I biked the Florida Keys

I saw the first sunrise of 2017 hiking through the Grand Canyon, and it was totally grand

Teach, Learn, Share

Since moving to Utah, I have started to learn how to climb and mountain bike, and I am working on getting better at hiking, running, and skiing.

I love to talk about affordable housing, sustainable communities and green architecture. I would definitely say I listen more than I speak, and I love to hear about what other people are passionate about.

I am always down to share a bottle of something (except gin)! Some of my favorite nights are spent learning and teaching card and dice games with lots of wine, singing, and maybe dancing in between.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good dinner convos, drinking partner, hiking/climbing buddy (but I'm not that good yet so be warned), a good sport in card/dice/drinking games

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
