About Me

ABOUT ME

I love to play, am a loyal friend, I'm honest, adventurous, and sometimes mischevious and rambunctious.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was really inspired by my hosts when I couch surfed in Europe. Everyone I've met through couch surfing has reminded me of the good in humanity and I think it's important to continue to foster experiences like that. It's also a great way to meet new and interesting people and to travel affordably while getting to experience a new place authentically.

Interests

I love my friends, going hiking, being active, trying new things, caring for animals, drawing/sculpting/creative, slacklining, surfing, natural medicine, sustainability and green living

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music from almost every genre
Some movies I love are Hook, Young Frankenstein... I actually can't remember my favorites. I like movies that make me laugh or inspire me. I don't like movies that stress me out or scare me.

Books- Confessions of an Economic Hitman, Braiding Sweetgrass, Robert Sapolsky books, The life of Pi, I went through an intense Carlos Castaneda phase... The list of novels I love is pretty short because I'm just now realizing that I mostly read textbooks

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having a blue whale swim right under my boat while I was with an ecology class in the Sea of Cortez left me in giddy giggles of wonder.

I also once had a trucker buy me coffee at 5 in the morning somewhere in Oklahoma when I had been driving cross-country. It was one of those moments that really shows the sort of kindness in people that I find inspiring.

... and one time I farted sparkles (... bioluminescent water is amazing)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to teach anything I know. I'll tell you about the places I've traveled, about ecology, or natural healing. I'm willing to learn anything new and happy to share art and food and laughter.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, company, knowledge, laughter, friendship
