About Me
Hi!
I am Kaja, an Earth and Environmental Sciences student from Germany. I love travelling and getting to know new countries and cultures since my first schol exchange with France in high school. I got to know Couchsurfing during my European Voluntary Service in Poland, Gdańsk. I spent a wonderful year there and discovered the Couchsurfing community.
For my studies I moved to Freiburg, Germany. I study "Liberal Arts and Sciences" with the Major "Earth and Environmental Sciences and if you want to know what that means, be prepared for a longer explanation... but I will gladly try to make it understandable!
Right now I am doing Erasmus in Budapest. :)
In my free time I love being outside, meeting my friends (so original), cooking, volunteering, reading, dancing etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Not sure if I can write something original here... but I do think that every place becomes more beautiful and interesting once you know a person from there.

Even though I love to talk about books and films, I am not able to come up with a list. However, I can recommend some that really inspired, moved, amused,... me and would be super happy to hear what you can recommend.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A hitchhike from Gdańsk to Kaunas in one day. On our 12 hours' adventure we encountered the police, businessmen with which we could not communicate, and very friendly people who took us to our final destination just before sundawn.
