Over the past 4-5 years I've become quite addicted to travel. I love the idea of discovering new cultures, lifestyles and being amazed by natural wonders!
More recently I've been seriously considering to take a year off to travel the world!

I'm fairly new to couchsurfing but definitely think it would take my travelling experience to a new level!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy connecting with people through other cultures, learning about their background and their language. I feel everyone I meet has a fascinating story to share and can always teach me something whether it's related to their professional, culture or language. As I get few opportunities to travel at this point of my life . However, when someone from a different culture and background stays with me I feel I get to enrich myself. So hosting for me is like travelling since one of my main attractions of travelling is connecting with people from different walks of life that have different traditions, food, customs and Meeting new, fascinating, and kind individuals. Couchsurfing has a nice philosophy that brings together like-minded people that have an open perspective on life and difference, embracing and appreciating them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all varieties of music from from classical music by Mozart to more pop classical such as Lindsey Sterling. I enjoy listening to relaxing indie music or jazz on a weekday evening (I would be delighted to have you join one of my Wiskey and jazz nights one evening when you listen, sip, think and feel). Sometimes powerful rock music for motivation gets me pumped up. Contemplative rap music such as from Eminem is what I listen to when thinking about life when down. When I'm up for having a fun and crazy upbeat night on weekends the latest as well as old school RnB, hip hop and pop.

Books I love very much as well. I particularly have enjoyed reading classic fiction books like The Count of Monte Cristo by Dumas, Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky and the Divine Comedy.

Movies: Dallas Buyer's Club, Slumdog Millionaire, Inglorious Basterds (and all other Tarantino's), Million Dollar Baby (and many other Eastwood's), also a huge Star Wars fan!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to be scared of spiders, not a strong all out phobia but scared enough to not be able to deal with them. Then I applied some of the stuff I learned in Psychology and even though it wasn't easy I became much more comfortable with spiders to the point where I could pick them up and let them walk on me! Not so amazing maybe for some compared to climbing Mount Everest but an amazing accomplishment for me ^^
