Hi everyone,

I used couch surfing a fair bit when I spent 2.5 years traveling and always said that I’d host, or at least help people out, when I finally get back to Australia and have a place.

I am an easy going guy that enjoys the outdoors, BBQs, sport, beers, hanging out and all the regular things people like. I also enjoy meeting new people, hearing about their country and their culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have known mates over the years who swear by CS, so now that I am travelling long term why not?! Haha. I think it's a great concept, and an awesome opportunity to meet locals and gain a more authentic experience and appreciation of the country that I am in at the time (wherever that might be........)

My experiences on CS so far have been awesome, and meeting great people in this type of environment has been an eye opener. As previously stated, I always said I’ll pay it forward now that I am back in Australia and have a place.

Interests

Travel, sport (in particular rugby), meeting new people from all over the world, gaining new experiences and learning new things everyday.

I would also like to learn another language eventually. Not many multilingual Aussies out there, so hopefully I can change that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Almost all music!
I like a lot of different types of music; ranging from heavy to country. Some that spring to mind: Johnny Cash, Millencolin, parkway Drive, Audioslave, Rise Against, Of Monsters and Men, and the list goes on and on and on and on..... I like a lot of Aussie bands too, which I can show you if you want.

Movies: I love odd-ball movies most of all (i.e. Not your typical Hollywood 'blockbuster'). Oh, and I like documentaries.
Some one's that come to mind: Fight Club, The Raid, Two Hands, Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas, Boondock Saints, etc, etc, etc.....

Books: I like autobiographies mostly but have also read various genres. I particularly liked the lord of the rings books, the Dexter series and a writer by the name Keith Fennell.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: hmmmm..... That's a hard one! Australian culture I guess.

Learn: everything! I want to learn as much as I can, about what ever I can. Having said that, I am particularly interested in history and culture.
