I'm a teacher from Kansas, have spent a significant amount of time in Slovenia, love traveling anywhere, and would prefer to ride my bike daily. I like good Kansas beer, meeting new people, and seeing new places and things.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of my favorite memories occurred a few years ago where when my friends ran a half marathon. I hate running- I loathe running, and I made sure everyone knew. So as a joke, I decided to elliptical a half-marathon (really, to mock them). However, a few days before said marathon, my roommate received an email from a woman in Uganda, asking her to raise 1,000 dollars for a school she'd worked at previously. My roommate and I used the 4 days before the half marathon to call everyone we knew and turn the "Elliptathon" into a benefit. We raised $850.00 on a whim. The best thing that I do on a daily basis is have community dinners. A few years ago, a bunch of us started eating together every night. That has now evolved into one person of the 17 involved cooking a huge meal for everyone Monday-Thursday. This way, we see people we love, eat a good meal, don't consume too many preservatives, and maintain a budget. It's beautiful.
