Hello, Kao-Chun here. Just FYI Hugh is my English name if that's easier. I have backpackered several times for now. I really love travelling and knowing new people to share some stories. So really looking forward to meet lots of people around!!

I learned to play violin and piano when I was little, but after years, it's getting a little bit rusty but still got some basic skills, I supposed. I also love dancing hiphop, not so great but enough to have fun haha. In my college, I joined the volley ball team in my department, but haven't played it for two years now.

I'm fond of basically all kinds of music, such as classical, jazz, pop music, but still can't get any metal music, I'm sorry. I'm a HUGE fan in movies and series. I basically spent almost one-third of my spare time in college watching them. I'm more than happy to exchange the to-watch-list with people I meet haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I really like about travelling in backpacker is that I get to know a lot of people on the way. Everyone has their own experience and story, and it is SOOO much fun to listen to them. I also need to talk to people on the way of travelling, share some ideas would always be nice. I always believe in more understanding, less fighting kind of stuff. Also, I always knew that travelling in tourist style is so much different from if you have some locals showing you around. Other than just visit a lot of famous attractions, I would really dying for some more humane side of the place. Hanging out with the locals or talk to them would be the best options I could ever imagined.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

● Volunteered to be a team leader for 12 children for a three-day camp.
● Started to be a backpacker since 17
● Jumped off a small cliff in Trento even tho I don't really know how to swim
● Tried to hitch-hike but failed (to be continued...)
● Stayed in the US for total 5 months as a pioneer for my workplace

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some basics about musical instruments so also some theories too. Know some hiphop dance moves, and know how to play volleyball. Also, if you're interested, I teach private lessons to senior high school students in Chemistry and Physics, but please don't ask me about the theories in college, which is 100% out of my range hahaha.

Since I am a native speaker in Mandarin, I would teach you some basics and some words to swear for sure. Not a cook but def can wash the dishes if we eat together.

I'm currently learning Spanish and German, and would be lovely if we do some short-term language exchange.

I would share everything within my ability haha. Let's see how it works and let them take us. I'm sure it would be really fun.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am willing to share everything I got or I know with the hosts within my ability haha. I know how to play musical instruments, know how to dance a little. I would really love if talking about movies or series, but the series are almost american and a little of spanish since I'm learning Spanish.

Since I'm from Asia, then I can share the viewpoints or some knowledge about Asia and some current situation and information about the relationship between Taiwan and China.
