Aventura en curso: Conocer México en bicicleta.

Después de varios años mochileando, ahora estoy en el proyecto de viajar en bicicleta por mi propio país, junto con Kiko, mi novio.

Kiko ~ El lado creativo de nuestra pareja. Después de haber hecho cualquier trabajo que imagines, actualmente soy Chef. Amante de la bici, la comida y el cotorreo. Desde niño viajé mochileando con mi madre, y los últimos años hice algunos viajes en bicicleta en México.

Karen ~ El lado organizado de nuestra pareja. Espíritu nómada, enamorada de la naturaleza, fácil de complacer. No hay nada más fácil que fluir y adaptarse al cambio. Con una reciente obsesión por aprender más de lo diverso e increíble que es México.

I've been a backpacker around the world for the last 6 years, so I've been in your place. In case you need any local advice or want to walk around and go to real local places, let me know.

Even I'm a bit busy with the daily life duties, I will always do my best to share some time with you. I love listening to people's stories! I'll be happy to hear yours.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

The true magic of an amazing trip, is not about the place by itself, but actually in the people you meet.

Intereses

We both love outdoor sports, specially rock climbing, MTB and running. Even I don't speak lots of languages, I like them a lot.

Food is our big passion: go to the market, buy veggies and fruits, learn new recipes, cook and experiment, and of course eat a lot.

All music styles are cool, depending on the occasion, but specially I enjoy rock and reaggae.

Kiko is more into electronic music.

Algo increíble que he hecho

- For more than 2 years I backpacked South America, this experience changed my life and world vision and filled me with pretty cool stories.

- I also lived in a Van (which I named Hikuri) for 1 year in New Zealand, enjoying the freedom of living in your own vehicle. For sure one of the best experiences in my life!

- Explored all Pakistan on a motorcycle. Rough, but by far one of the most amazing adventures of my travels.

- Survived to pandemic in a tiny island in Philippines, living in my tent for a couple of months, fishing and eating wild local plants.

- Spent 1.5 years backpacking in Africa, this includes listening from my tent to lions roaring, watching elephants eating by a tree next to me and travel 300km in more than 10hrs (patience goes to the limit in this continent haha).

Enseña, aprende, comparte

We could teach English and Spanish, and share some Mexican food recipes as well. Kiko is a Chef, so expect creative cooking and yummy food.

I'd love to learn more languages, specially practice my Portuguese.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Since I love to cook, and Kiko is a chef, we can share get nice Mexican food, as well as cool stories from our lives, and of course, all the sympathy of this spicy chica mexicana and the craziness of the Traveling biker Chef.
