We're Kasia and Victor - Polish/Spanish couple who loves to travel and meet interesting people. In October 2015 we set to travel around the world. We have no fixed plan nor fixed dates. Our idea is just to move ahead. We travel slowly, getting to know each country we visit as much as we can. Until February 2016 we travelled on our bicycles across Poland, Ucraine, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Then we started to travel using all sorts of means of transport. Anything to keep us going :D

After Georgia and Armenia, we travelled through Iran, one of the most fascinating countries we've been to. Then it was time to hike in Nepal and cross to India where we spent 3 months. After India it was time for the gigantic and fascinating China with a short break in Mongolia. After a lot of time in south-east Asia (with Indonesia being our favorite country) and 1 year in Australia, we spent some time in Taiwan where we worked in hostels. We travelled to Japan (and loved it!!!) and then one of our biggest dreams came true - travel to Central Asia, in particular Tajikistan :D We're currently in Georgia, doing house and pet sitting and resting after a fantastic, but also tiring road trip along this beautiful country. Next step: Turkey (again - and we can't wait!).

Not many countries, but many experiences and amazing people. THERE IS NO TRAVELING FOR FREE - if you think there is, think twice. There is ALWAYS someone paying, even if it's not you!

We're easy-going and animal lovers. Really crazy about animals. Books, photography, writing, finding inspiration and stories and always about PEOPLE!

We have always been travelling. We met few years ago in Peru (when traveling of course, hahaha), then moved together to Poland, got married and now we keep travelling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We decided to join couchsurfing because we really want to know people from different countries (even though it might sound like a clichè nowadays). We believe that everything is about sharing experience and culture. We can all learn from each other and this is what couchsurfing should be about. And luckily it is like this in many cases. We made friends in different countries. Inspiring people who shared with us not only the couch, but above all, their time and local knowledge. Some of them became our very close friends. We're not so much into the "must sees". Sure, we do sightseeing, but rather than ticking points from the Lonely Planet list, we prefer to get to know the people and their real life. Sit down and talk, see their favorite spots, go to a market, observe the daily routine and learn the most of it. Above all we love slow travel!

Interests

Kasia is translator and interpreter and Victor teaches Spanish. We love:

- reading good books (novels, travel books)
- eating (we also love cooking)

Music - too many groups and artists to name - we listen to rock, reggae, folk music, blues

Movies - well we love Shrek, Wall-e and Harry Potter ;) We're fans of Javier Camara (Victor) and Isabelle Coixet (Kasia). Kasia loves Star Wars. Back in Warsaw we had no TV, but watched many series online - The killing and Breaking bad were our favorites. Waiting for the last season of Game of thrones ;) - corrected the last season watched ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkel in Galapagos, visit Rapa Nui and bicycle touring in winter. Sleeping on the Great Wall, jungle treks in Malaysia, scuba diving, sleeping in the middle of nowhere in Australia, learning how to make noodles in Indonesia (thanks to CS!!), spending amazing birthday and Christmas (thanks to CS!!) in Indonesia and Turkey, walking the Wakhan Corridor and hitchhiking the Pamir Highway, seing Samarkand and Buchara, offroad driving in Georgia, wine tasting in South Africa, self-driven safari in Botswana and Namibia.
