I am at that point in my life when the kids are about grown and looking too spread my wings and explore more of life. I am fascinated by people, cultures, and just what makes the wheels turn. Each person in this world has something to give and teach one another and includes even the children I work with on a daily basis. Traveling is what I hope to be on my agenda for the next decade or two, at least, of my life. I love all that is considered art from music, dance, theater, architecture, painting, and the list goes on and on. This is the basis of my desire to travel; too have the chance to meet people, experience their culture, and too see their creations.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is the art form that captures my heart. I love most main stream genres of music and listens to what reflects my current mood. But, being that my degree was in music history and theory in college, my love for music means an introduction to new styles and artists is one of my greatest loves. Regarding books. I have read many of the classics in my lifetime but currently most of my reading comes in the form of informational text. I tend to read mainly new, educational articles, and articles of cultural interests.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Somehow, I tend to think that just getting my two children basically grown, educated, independent, and productive parts of society is the most amazing thing I have done in life. Also, being there for my family and friends in times of need, celebration of life, and all the ups and downs that come along with life. But, what tends to drive me the most is my sense of nurturing others in this life.Being that I am an ESE Teacher, making a difference in a child's life on a daily basis is an amazing life opportunity. Over my lifetime, I have also volunteered in a maternity home for teens, served on the transportation disadvantaged board in my community, served as a Girl Scout Volunteer/ Leader, volunteered for Special Olympics and in other service capacities.
Teach, Learn, Share
Experiencing diverse cultures is what I seek at this point in my life. I want to know what others know and share what I can about my world. We are all in this together and can learn from one another.
