Overview
About Me
So I'm a recent college grad trying to beat the cubicle rush everyone else seems to be heading for, in favor of world exploration and incredible random friendships. I live in the wildly fascinating country of Morocco where I teach English to a group of eager students. Steadily increasing my record collection. Still play the original Tetris on an original NES. Live music shows, graffiti documentaries, and chai tea are staples of my lifestyle. I love learning and can do it pretty quickly, so anyone who has cool or unusual hobbies should feel free to share.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Just a girl with a dream kickin' it on the road. Hope we can do it together.
Interests
Living outside of America. Writing (I'm new to it, so developing my resolve and confidence is still a work in progress). Reading. Wes Anderson films. Violin, guitar, piano. There's plenty more to me. Just ask.

Music, Movies, and Books
These are all cursory introductions.
Books: The Aeneid, Beowulf, Out of Africa, The Old Man and the Sea, Bible, Plato on Socrates, The Catcher in the Rye, The Bell Jar, Dune, The Martian Chronicles (I'm a surprisingly big sci-fi nerd--and I'm taking recommendations!), The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit (duh)...
Music (again, this is the Sparknotes list): Beck, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, The Ramones, Japandroids, Diarrhea Planet, the White Stripes, Switchfoot, Bassnectar, Beethoven (I'm in love with the 6th Symphony...such is the life of an orchestra addict), Bizet, Mussorgsky...
Movies: The Graduate, The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Exit Through the Gift Shop, Infamy...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not sure if these qualify as amazing, so I'll let you decide.
1) hitchhiked by myself across a foreign country.
2) talked down a mugger into giving me my phone back.
3) leaped from a galloping horse and landed unscathed.
4) risked getting trampled by elephants while on safari.
5) finished college sober.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: you how to make killer paper snowflakes, scuba dive, sass your siblings/roommates, and annoy people with puns.
Learn: how to play guitar, and just generally about the region where you live and what stuff you like to do.
Share: food, drinks, laughs (best enjoyed together).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Warm, adventurous, independent spirit that can fit in anywhere. Also, I make great omelets.
