ABOUT ME I mught not meet the typical demographic of a couch surfer, but I am happy to host folks who want to enjoy the pastoral backdrop of Central Pennsylvania. An avid cross country skier, hiker and lover of the earth I celebrate the many outdoor opportunities that abound in this area. If you asked my friends what I am like they would say I smile a lot. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have hosted intenational high school kids in my home for a year or a semester, and enjoyed being a host for a local yoga studio or friends who needed placces for their interns. Always a great opportunity to bring people together. I suppose my best experience was being hosted by a Mohawk family while working at Akwesasne for two years.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
The births of my children- and times when nature wakes me up to the divine- when a sea turtle surfaced next to my windsurfer, a dolphin school rose all around me while swimming, a yellow shafted flicker recovered from a road accident and clung to my shirt before flying away, the saw wet owl that looked in the window at me..... I could go on for a long time.
My Interests
Right now the thing that has grabbed my attention the most is the state of the environment. My environmental convictions run deeper than any political leaning. I am striving to make choices that soften my footprint on the earth and to support people who walk the talk.
