ABOUT ME

I mught not meet the typical demographic of a couch surfer, but I am happy to host folks who want to enjoy the pastoral backdrop of Central Pennsylvania. An avid cross country skier, hiker and lover of the earth I celebrate the many outdoor opportunities that abound in this area. If you asked my friends what I am like they would say I smile a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted intenational high school kids in my home for a year or a semester, and enjoyed being a host for a local yoga studio or friends who needed placces for their interns. Always a great opportunity to bring people together.
I suppose my best experience was being hosted by a Mohawk family while working at Akwesasne for two years.

Interests

Right now the thing that has grabbed my attention the most is the state of the environment. My environmental convictions run deeper than any political leaning. I am striving to make choices that soften my footprint on the earth and to support people who walk the talk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The births of my children- and times when nature wakes me up to the divine- when a sea turtle surfaced next to my windsurfer, a dolphin school rose all around me while swimming, a yellow shafted flicker recovered from a road accident and clung to my shirt before flying away, the saw wet owl that looked in the window at me..... I could go on for a long time.
