Hi! My name is Katarzyna, but everybody calls me Kata. I am Polish by birth, but probably more latina at heart. I moved to Chile when I was 24 and lived there for 6 years.

Currently I am traveling the world together with my Chilean husband. We've been on the road since October 2022 and have visited 17 countries so far. Although our travel style has changed a lot during that time, one thing hasn't changed: meeting new people, learning about their countries and cultures, talking about life, traveling, politics and any other topic that comes to the table.

We keep a travel Instagram profile, mainly to remember the places we see and to let our families and friends know that we are okay!

One of my biggest hobbies is playing board games. Though I am far from being an expert on the topic, I have tried my fair share of those. Some of my favorites are Wingspan, Azul, Terraforming Mars and Cesar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first started using couchsurfing to meet likeminded people and hosted a few before leaving Chile. Currently I use it to make new friends while travelling, sharing stories and experiences. If you have a coach and can host us, we would be eternally grateful!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most cathartic experiences of my life was watching Buena Vista Social Club (the movie) for the first time. One of the coolest and best decisions I have made - moving across the ocean to be with the love of my life. During our trip, probably it would be doing the Ha Giang loop in north Vietnam on the motorcycle.
