Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing from only positive recommendations. I really want to get the chance to experience a new place or area with the guidance of a local. I really believe this is the best place to experience a new place and so far I have had nothing but positive experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

When talking about music I have to admit I am into as much cheesy pop and as can sing a long too! I love movies especially watching films in foreign languages. My favourite movie has to be the breakfast club. Although I love to read, I find fitting a big book into an already stuffed backpack kind of difficult! So I would be up for any suggestions you had for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 18 I packed up my life in a backpack and went to South America knowing no one and no Spanish or Portuguese! Although I was so scared it turned out to be the most amazing experience and lead to me continuing my travels for another year and half! I worked as a chalet host in the french alps and au paired in Australia and the south of France all experiences were incredible and I would recommend them to anyone!

The main reason I have got the travelling bug so badly is because of meeting so many people who each have amazing stories to tell about either their own country or one which they have visited. I began in awe of all the people I had met who had travelled the world and the stories they had to tell and now I am trying to replicate that by making memories for myself and lots of stories to tell others.

I can share my travel experiences and stories as well as my cooking skills as I have been working as a chalet host in the mountains for the last 3 winters.
