About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning Bulgarian singing in Plovdiv and Rodopi mountains!
ABOUT ME
Im a musician and have travelled with my music for some years now - I have toured with 'world music' band, Ethno in Transit across Europe many times, and also playing in Woodford Folk festival Australia. I play violin and sing, but have also taught piano and Im willing to share my knowledge with people who are interested in learning about music or exchanging! I also love colour - i like to wear different colours every day, i love vintage clothes and CATS! (I'm a bit crazy about cats, but am prepared to stay at a house without a cat also. I've done that before :) )
I also enjoy working outdoors - I have done an Introductory course to permaculture, and worked on organic farms in England and iceland (the WWOOFing community) I love this so much as it is a great way to make new friends and gain skills while also helping out on someone's land for the good of all to eat organically farm produce! I also love to go for walks/hikes, to see the world from a different view.
Another hobby I have is my friend taught me how to make lace. I love knitting or makign lace when i have nothing to do on a bus or something!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm really new to couch-surfing, so I'm just learning how it works! Although I did stay with someone before in Rekyavik with my boyfriend last year and this was a really great experience. Right now, as I'm living as a musician im often going between different projects and so I dont have a home, but I intend to start renting a place soon so I can also offer a couch for you couch surfers of the world! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
like i said, stayed in a place in Rekyavik, Iceland once. was very nice - the host took us to the local geo-thermal (naturally heatded water from under the ground) baths and swimming pool! Then he drove us all over rekyavik and showed us the main sites. I was really impressed at his generosity and hospitality.
Interests
I am into learning about different cultures and experimenting with and composing new music. I also love to learn about traditional/ herbal medicines! I like different types of dance too - free dance. I also love cats....and nature - going for walks in the forest, canoeing, i would like to learn to build my own house one day!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Aurora Borealis, in iceland while working on a farm in the East in 2012. This was something very special to see! performed in front of roughly 20,000 people at Woodford Folk Festival once in 2011/12! amazing feeling!
my friend knitted a sock once. I thought that was pertty amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
things I could teach - anyone who feels like trying out the violin! and scottish/irish/swedish/balkan folk tunes! also I can teach songs from the many countries that I've travelled. Im also a qualified Reiki Practitioner (this is a healing system from Japan where teh practitioner simply channels healing energy back into the body so that the body can heal itself again), Featherstone energy work (I did a begginner course in Shamanism). Practical things - I love to cook curries, soups, pasta dishes, salads, bread, cakes! I can make tiramisu or tiffin (chocolatey biscuit thing) if i havethe right ingredients!
I can also teach piano, and lace-making! The lace making technique I know is called 'tatting' and its a really old technique that i learned from my friend. Not many people know how to do this these days but I love to teach people ! its a really cool thing to know how to do. Its a bit similar to crochet - but if there are any crotchers otu there i wouldnt mind improving my crotchet skills too! :)
