About Me

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest of Canada, but was born in Chicago, IL. I'll always call the West Coast my home, but I will easily say that Chicago is one of the best cities on earth. If you don't believe me, come visit!

I'm usually that friend of yours that always knows what's going on in the city. I'm an avid explorer, "striking up conversations with strangers" kind of girl. On a given night, you'll find me at a concert, an art opening, or at one of my favorite bars in my neighborhood.

As for what's next, I'm hoping to move to Melbourne in the next few years. I would love to connect with anyone who has lived there!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always been curious about the world around me. I'm interested in learning more about the local's perspective of a place. I see Couchsurfing as a way for me to explore different ways of life and learn more about new cultures.

The world is a big place, but slowly, I've realized that it's much smaller than we think. I want to continue to create lasting connections with friends and travellers around the world. In part, hoping that I can one day be a friend, resource, or guide in return.

Interests

You can say that I live for music. I am constantly exploring new sounds and venue spaces. Volunteering at SXSW, stops in Reykjavík for Secret Solstice Festival, and two years of Glastonbury are a few examples of my love for music discovery.

Beyond music, I am a museum geek. Although I work in a museum, you can always find me in another one at least once a week.

These days, you'll find me listening to a whole lot of Courtney Barnett, Jamie xx, and Hiatus Kaiyote.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I attended Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts solo. Not bad for my first camping music festival!
