Hey there :)
My name is Katharina.
I started studying Sport and Health in Prevention and Therapy at German Sport University Cologne.
I worked hard to get there and I love it very much. I feel like it's the right thing for me - at least for the moment. :)
Right after school I wanted and needed to take some time. Time for me; to find out things about me and to learn things that school or college won't teach you.
In my opinion; traveling is one beautyfull way to learn such things. :)
I grew up in a small village in Belgium while being a German (so sorry for mistakes; English is not my native language); there we have a beloved cat and a big garden with chicken and roosters. :)) Sometimes even little chicks. :))
Now I'm living in Cologne in Germany.
Animals and nature are very important to me and I have a heart for them; just as well as for sport. ;)
I'm the opposite of a superficial person; I like to discover and understand things deeply, I'm open and uncomplicated and interested to meet new people and places.
Sometimes I like to discover things on my own but at the same time I love to meet new different people, to share experiences, to hear your stories, to see different views, to get inspiration maybe, to discover what the world has to offer... :)
So... now I wrote some things about me. The rest you have to find out by yourself. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a lovely way to get to know a country and the people who live in it, without monetary status playing a role; I like that very much, that the focus is on the people and the experience.
You can meet new people, get a deeper insight in the country and get unique experiences, conversations, perspectives and exchanges.
I'm always excited to discover what I'm going to experience. :) And the more experiences I get with couchsurfers, the more I love the community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many different; some big, some small.
Travelling is undoubtedly one of them, that sums it up very well because for me, it doesn't only mean trips from place to place but also "traveling" to myself.. :)
And I'm curious about the next "amazing things" on my list. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to improve my English skills and maybe I can teach you some words in German. ;) Also I would like to learn playing the guitar or drawing or anything else you are passionate about.
If you like climbing/bouldering or like to learn it; I'm always up for a climb. ;) Or any other sport. :)
I'm also not averse to cook together; maybe I can get some new (vegetarian) recipes or ideas from some of you. :))
I would say I have a talent for caring for animals.
