I'm a Christian and love baseball, traveling, and crafting. I'm married and have 2 cats rescued by POPPS (Pet Overpopulation Program). I have lived in the Tri -Cities for 4 1/2 years. Before that we lived in Ammon, Idaho for 7 years. Ammon is near Idaho Falls, Idaho. I grew up in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. I worked for around 30 years in retail but since moving to Washington I haven't really looked for a job.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend, RuthAnn asked me to host a visitor from Belgium for 3 days because she couldn't. The experience went very well. This was our first experience. Since I travel I thought it would be a good experience and chance to meet new people.

Interests

For the past 3 years we have been a host family for the Tri City Dust Devils baseball team. It is a minor league affiliate of the San Diego Padres and formerly with the Colorado Rockies. I am going to Spring training in Arizona to see both teams minor leagues. I only have 11 more states to visit in the USA. I also enjoy baking. I also enjoy needle point and cross stitch projects but am going to try other areas of crafting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Country music and some Contemporary Christian music, Adele, Katie Perry and some top 40 tunes. For books I like mysteries and some biographies. I have found that I am hooked on the Marvel Comic movies and Batman movies. My all time favorite movie is "To Kill a Mockingbird ". I love old movies especially the old baseball movies and mysteries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gettysburg, PA Civil War Memorial, and around a dozen more Civil War sites. When I lived in the east and went on vacation, I always checked to see if a site was near.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A private room with a queen bed; hallway bathroom to use. We live in wine country and their are several wineries in the area. I also live 15 minutes from the mall.
