Overview
About Me
I'm an Australian that has been living in Canada for the past year and a half. While I've been in Canada I have worked at a summer camp in Ontario for two years and spent my winter out in Banff working at Sunshine Village. In between jobs I have traveled around Canada a little, but I have barely scratched the surface.
I just recently drove from Ontario all the way back out to Banff with one of my friends. I enjoy netball, which isn't a very big sport outside of Australia, scuba diving, spending time with my dog, and travelling. I have also traveled through a few places in Europe with my brother.
Before I left Australia I was working at a grocery store while I finished my degree in Marine Science and Zoology. Being from Perth I am used to sun, sand and hot beaches, I came to Canada to experience a true winter and have subsequently found a place I would love to stay for the rest of my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently had my first couchsurfing experience with a friend and had an awesome time. It as such a great experience staying with someone who is a local but also a fellow traveller who wants to give back. As I don't really have a permanent home at the moment I am here to stay with others, but I hope I will one day be able to give back for all the wonderful experiences I am sure to have.
Interests
I was always very sporty growing up and will give pretty much any sort of sport a go. My main sport is netball, which is similar to basketball except you can't move with the ball and there is no backboard on the goal ring.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Vance Joy and Missy Higgins. I also really enjoy musicals, and country music. My favorite movie is About Time, and I love the idea of reading but I get too easily distracted to finish a book lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know if it counts as amazing, but I saw Taylor Swift's 1989 tour 4 times.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a vocabulary filled with Australian words and slang for anyone interested. I can also make some pretty cool friendship bracelets and a hammock from rope if thats your thing.
