About Me

Hi all!

Chicago is a great home base but I prioritize travel as much as physically and financially possible. I studied abroad in London and lived in South Korea for a bit after college. I'm currently planning to travel southern Florida for the winter. I'm hoping to spend a lot of time exploring the culture and history of Miami, the beauty of the Everglades, the camping/water sports of the Keys, with plenty of WWOOFing and Workaway along the way! I work on boats in Chicago, so I might be searching for an exciting boat job down there for the next few winters. I'm hoping to do a few southern US road trips as well as whatever adventure comes my way. :)

I'm a curious, kind, and empathetic traveler which includes being a clean, quiet, and respectful guest. I'm a jack of all trades, but my biggest hobbies include writing, reading, yoga, meditation, and kayaking. I am fascinated by the intersections of the humanities, sciences, and history (Invisibilia anyone?). Over the last few years I've been becoming increasingly Buddhist and love a good Dharma talk. I'm a compulsive reader, tearing through historical fiction, sci-fi, and magical realism.

I love love love hearing about people's specialties and I'm very excited to learn about your home, hobbies, skills, and experiences! I love a good question, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept with my feet dangling over the Cliffs of Dover, broke into a house in Dublin, moved to Korea, and realized how amazing Chicago, my closest friends, and family all are.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always more than willing to help people with creative writing pieces, meditation, yoga (especially handstands!), finding a good book for you, improving your English, and general life support (I've been called a pretty good life coach).

I also love physical labor! If you have any construction, gardening, animal-related projects or jobs I'm your lady (though you may have to teach me some new skills).

I'm a huge kid and play is my favorite way to pass the time. Games, exploring, wrestling, getting muddy, causing mischief. I can share my bad influence with you.

:)
